My work is about noticing. Every square meter of the world, no matter how urban, is crammed with life—just there for the viewing. My images were all created in bustling places, where literally hundreds or thousands pass every hour. Many prefer passively viewing moments of staged happiness, joy, or envy, rather than feeling and experiencing the wonders and mysteries of the world around them. I wish to remind everyone that our world is teeming with mysterious, colorful visions of life and death—even if few notice.
