biography

Miranda Belarde-Lewis (Zuni/Tlingit) is a Mother, Independent Curator and Assistant Professor at the University of Washington’s Information School. Miranda works with tribal, state and national museums strengthening Indigenous voices through educational programming, scholarship and exhibitions. Her research focuses on how Native communities use art to communicate information and knowledge, cross-culturally and inter-generationally. Miranda has curated exhibitions for the Frye Art Museum in Seattle, WA, and for the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA.
