Elissa is the Deputy Director of Photography at The Wall Street Journal, where she manages a team of 24 photo editors who assign and research the photography content for all platforms of WSJ. Elissa has been a photo editor in New York for the last 13 years and prior to WSJ worked at The New Yorker, MSNBC, The New York Times and Newsweek, among other publications. She is an alumna of Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism and was born, raised and lives in New York City.
