In this whimsical and humorous conceptual series, I was intrigued by the idea of using different frames enabling me to put the cats in the frames without any confinement. They are free to move and play as they wish with toy mice, birds, and bunnies. The completed compositions result in a series of amusing still life images.
I was trained as an artist in the studio while earning my bachelor of fine art degree. I have shown my art in numerous exhibitions and competitions in California, winning awards and earning two signature certificates, one from a California art society and another from a national art association.
Once I retired, I purchased my first digital camera and started to experiment with photography. I am mostly self taught, I have taken some online classes. In 2012, I entered my photos in a national competition and was surprised to win an award! Since then my photography has received many awards in various international photo competitions. It has been exhibited in galleries around the world and published in magazines and books.
