About

The City of Durham’s Public Art Committee advises the Cultural Advisory Board and acts on its behalf on matters relating to public art. The committee functions are to assist the City’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development in advising the city regarding the implementation of the City’s Public Art Policy and to review proposals for public art projects brought to it by the city administration.

Artists who live or work in the Triangle Region of Durham, Raleigh, or Chapel Hill and the neighboring North Carolina counties (Durham, Wake, Franklin, Johnston, Chatham, Orange, Person, Harnett, Lee, Granville, Vance) will be considered for special regional perks, including exposure to top local photo industry professionals (academics, gallerists, curators, collectors, etc.).
