Project Statement:

Over the past two years I've gone hiking almost everyday. Last year (2017) I began bringing my camera along. For me it feels so good to get to a quiet place where all the noise of city life disappears and I'm left with myself and the clean energy of the natural world. After a short time alone on the mountain or in the desert all the self doubt I feel in the city magically melts away and things make sense. I feel so lucky to live in a place where I can develop a relationship with nature.

Artist Bio:

Elizabeth Evans lives a creative life close to nature in New Mexico as a writer and artist/designer, avid hiker, amateur astrologer and cat mom. Photography has been a passion of hers since she was about thirteen, a way to express her feelings and the way she sees the world.

She finds comfort in living a slower simpler life, spending time outdoors and creating a peaceful, nurturing home for herself.
